40 Cans for Lent - Week 4 The support for Week 4 of 40 Cans for Lent was down from the overwhelming results from last week. Per Helping Hands, the Parish donated 868 pounds to their stock this week. That makes 4,023 pounds in 4 weeks. That is over 2 TONS OF GIVING THAT THE PARISH HAS SHARED WITH OUR COMMUNITY.
Parish participation had been fantastic - have you joined in?
Thanks to all who supported the call thus far - keep it up, if
possible. Can we get this back up to over 1,000 lbs per week for
each of the 2 remaining weekends? |
Council BBQ Cook Thanks
to BBQ Lead Brother Greg Nemec and the great Cook Crew of Jared
Strnadel, Ken Kelley, and Jaime Hernandez (Bean Man) for all of the
great cooking and Brother David Hobson for the Cook Team breakfast
preparation. Also assisting in the sales were Michael Spiech,
Jaime Hernandez, Rickey Constantine, and Art Hausler. A couple of
other Brother Knights stopped by but right now I can't come up with
names - appreciate the help and sorry I missed your names. BBQ
Sales (and Mass attendance) were pretty slow compared to normal volumes
on a cook weekend, but that will happen occasionally. Richmond
Fire Department received a donation of Chicken and Beans from the
council. Left over cooked chickens will be sold for $5 at the Council meeting tomorrow night. Supply is limited. These
birds have not been frozen so only require being heated up. May
have some sausage for sale as well. Have to come to see what is
left. Thanks to the cooks, sales help, and purchasers for your support. |
Lenten Fish Fry #4 Thanks for all the support from Brother Knights and their wives at the Lenten Fish Fry on Fri, Mar 4th.
Due to prior commits some key players were out but Brothers (and Wives)
stepped up to fill in the gaps. Outstanding support and a lot of
fraternity and hard work was shown by all present. Record 417 plates were served at this event. Where were you? Hope to see YOU on Friday, Mar 11th for Fry #5. There was considerable assistance from ACTS Brothers and Sisters and SSMM Ladies. Please consider joining the community effort for Council 7445 and Sacred Heart ACTS and SSMM. |
Sacred Heart Lenten Eucharistic Adoration Sacred
Heart Chapel will offer Eucharistic Adoration from 9:00AM Wednesdays
until 6:45AM on Thursdays thru Lent. If you would like to spend
some personal quiet time with our Lord, please sign up via SignUpGenius

Sat, Mar 12th, Adopt a Highway Trash Pickup - Time for our quarterly trash pick up on 2 miles of FM359. We will meet at the Shell station at FM723 & FM359. With 6-10 guys (Spouses/kids/grandkids welcome) this task can be completed in less than 1.5 ours. Can you share your time to assist.
