Proposed By-Law Amendments |
Brother Knights - As
a reminder - please find the proposed By-Law Amendments discussed at
our last Business Meeting. Please review and plan to vote on at our next
Business Meeting scheduled Tuesday, January 24th. If you have any
questions or would like to discuss please do not hesitate to call. Thanks, GK David Hobson, 832-755-8239 ARTICLE IV - Meetings Current By-Laws Section
1. The first monthly business meeting of the Council shall be held on
the second Monday of the month and the second monthly meeting shall be
held on the fourth Monday of the month. The meetings shall be held at
such a time and place as the Council may designate. The
second monthly meeting shall be the regular business meeting. Twelve
members shall constitute a quorum at the business meeting. Proposed Change Section
1. The Council's 2 monthly meetings shall be held at a date, time and
location established by the council. Such meetings shall be designated
as (1) The Business Meeting and (2) the Officer's Meeting with all
members welcome to attend. The second monthly meeting shall be the
regular business meeting. Twelve members shall constitute a quorum at
the business meeting. ARTICLE VII- Funds Current By-Laws Section
3. No money in excess of $250 shall be paid or transferred from the
Treasury of this Council, (except such moneys as the Council is called
upon to regularly pay for its current expenses and provided by laws of
the Order or for purposes approved by the Supreme Council or Board of
Directors), unless two-thirds vote of the members present and voting at a
regular business meeting held subsequent to a regular business meeting
at which notice in writing of a resolution of intention to pay or
transfer such money and the purpose and amount to be paid or transferred
shall be given and regularly read. Proposed Change Section

Tue., Jan 17th KC Officers Meeting Wed., Jan 18th Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament - 9 am to 10 pm Wed., Jan 18th Council
Basketball Free Throw Contest. Brother Chris Haskins to chair the
event taking place in between Faith Formation classes in the FLC (5:30
pm - 7:30 pm). Will need 10 Brother Knights to assist. Let
Chris know if available (281-753-0637). Fri., Jan 20th Clergy Appreciation Night. Sat., Jan 21st and Sun., Jan 22nd Lone Rose Ceremony at Masses remembering the infamous January 22, 1973 Supreme Court ruling of Roe V Wade. We
will be having Father Denis Wilde from Priests for Life visit our
church. He will be the homilist at all Masses and preside at 3 Masses.
He will have a question and answer period after the 5:30 pm Saturday
Mass and the 11:30 and 5:00 pm Sunday Masses. We would like to have as
many Brother Knights and families as possible to stay after these 3
Masses for the question and answer sessions. Please try to attend one of
the sessions. Sat., Jan 21st and Sun., Jan 22nd Super
Bowl BBQ Pre-Sales Table after all Masses. Will need volunteers
to help man the table to take orders. Please let GK know which
Mass you can assist. Tue., Jan 24th KC Business Meeting - proposed By-Law Amendment vote to take place. Sat., Jan 28th and Sun., Jan 29th Super

Free Throw Contest. This year Council 7445 will be hosting the
District Basketball Free Throw contest in the FLC in the afternoon.

"Krewe of Knights" Mardi Gras weekend celebration open to KC's and

State Council Charities maintains two Education Grant Programs that are
funded by the interest received on the Cardinal Humberto Medeiros and
Christopher Trust Funds managed by the Supreme Council. These two
programs are the Catholic School Grants and the individual student
Educational Grants. For a list of eligibility, guidelines and
