Special Recognition and Thanks I'd
be remiss not to mention a third Council Member, Cecil Bax, along with
Brother Knights Ralph Bello and Chad Band for participating in
Saturday's Fourth Degree Exemplification. I
would like to thank all the Brother Knights that were able to assist
with Wednesday's Council Free Throw Competition. The event was
very well received and a lot of our Sacred Heart youth participated.
It was great to see all the excitement especially from those
moving on in the competition to next Sunday's District Free Throw
Contest (see pic below). Thanks
also goes out to our Brother Knights, their wives and Seminarian
families that attended Friday's Clergy Appreciation Night.
Although the weather was somewhat challenging and not everyone was
able to attend; it was a nice evening of recognizing our priests and
deacons for all they do! And lastly, thanks to the Brother Knights that assisted with this weekend's Super Bowl BBQ Pre-Sales.  |
Proposed By-Law Amendments |
Brother Knights - As
a reminder - please find the proposed By-Law Amendments discussed at
our last Business Meeting. Please review and plan to vote on at our next
Business Meeting scheduled Tuesday, January 24th. If you have any
questions or would like to discuss please do not hesitate to call. Thanks, GK David Hobson, 832-755-8239 ARTICLE IV - Meetings Current By-Laws Section
1. The first monthly business meeting of the Council shall be held on
the second Monday of the month and the second monthly meeting shall be
held on the fourth Monday of the month. The meetings shall be held at
such a time and place as the Council may designate. The
second monthly meeting shall be the regular business meeting. Twelve
members shall constitute a quorum at the business meeting. Proposed Change Section
1. The Council's 2 monthly meetings shall be held at a date, time and
location established by the council. Such meetings shall be designated
as (1) The Business Meeting and (2) the Officer's Meeting with all
members welcome to attend. The second monthly meeting shall be the
regular business meeting. Twelve members shall constitute a quorum at
the business meeting. ARTICLE VII- Funds Current By-Laws Section
3. No money in excess of $250 shall be paid or transferred from the
Treasury of this Council, (except such moneys as the Council is called
upon to regularly pay for its current expenses and provided by laws of
the Order or for purposes approved by the Supreme Council or Board of
Directors), unless two-thirds vote of the members present and voting at a
regular business meeting held subsequent to a regular business meeting
at which notice in writing of a resolution of intention to pay or
transfer such money and the purpose and amount to be paid or transferred
shall be given and regularly read. Proposed Change Section

Treasury of this Council, (except such moneys as the Council is called
upon to regularly pay for its current expenses and provided by laws of
the Order or for purposes approved by the Supreme Council or Board of

Free Throw Contest. This year Council 7445 will be hosting the
District Basketball Free Throw contest in the FLC in the afternoon.
