Thank YOU! Special
THANKS to all brother Knights that assisted with Tuesday's Mardi Gras
Pancake Cook and Friday's Fish Fry in prep, set-up, serving, clean-up,
ect. Both events were well received and provided good food, fun
and fellowship while in service to our parish and community. THANKS
also to to the Brother Knights that helped with this weekend's BBQ in
prep, cook and sales. We are blessed wish such great BBQ teams. And lastly, THANKS to the Brother Knights that have offered to assist with our 40 Cans for Lent Food Drive - this sums it up: Our Catholic faith teaches us to "Love thy neighbor as thyself." Members of the Knights of Columbus show love for their neighbors by conducting food drives and donating the food to local soup kitchens and food pantries. Knights
recognize that our mission, and our faith in God, compels us to action.
There is no better way to experience love and compassion than by
helping those in need, a call we answer every day. Certainly appreciate all you do to help! |
KofC Insurance BENEFITS OF YOUR KC MEMBERSHIP Please mark your calendar: At our Council 7445 Social meeting on Tuesday, March 21st, our new Field Agent Marty Gibula and General Agent Tom Supac will be presenting an overview of the Benefits of Your KC Membership. This will be an open meeting and you are encouraged to bring your wife so you can both learn of the benefits. It was Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney's wish when he started the Knights of Columbus that we provide protection for our loved ones and today's Knights of Columbus members have the opportunity to do that and more. More details will be in next week's newsletter, but if you have any questions about the current benefits you have, please email Marty at marty.gibula@kofc.org or call him at 713-823-9182. |
Roe vs Wade There appeared to be some interest in the true story of Roe vs Wade from several Knights at our last Business Meeting: More info on Norma McCorvey (Jane Roe in Roe vs Wade): Thanks for sharing Howard.. |
From SHC Coordinator of Evangelization This program, Play Like A Champion Today, is recommended by Jared Dees, author of To Heal, Proclaim, and Teach. I
thought you and the Knights of Columbus might be interested in knowing
about it. It is a program that started at the University of Notre Dame.
One of the goals is to help coaches and parents see the connection
between sports and faith. By helping coaches focus on coaching as a
ministry ". . . they changed the way they related to kids and began to
focus on positive, intrinsic motivation rather than simply winning the
games." Peace, Christine Dunn Coordinator of Evangelization and Discipleship |
