Thank YOU! Brother Knights -
Many things to be thankful for this past week.. First -
thanks to the Brother Knights and family members that came out to our
Movie Night last Tuesday to watch the life of Fr. Vincent
Capodanno. Excellent movie - thanks PGK Howard Harbes for sharing
with the group. Second -
thanks to the Brother Knights that assisted with this year's Turkey
Cook on Wednesday - takes a lot of work to accomplish this each
year but many positive comments received. Thanks to those
that assisted with gathering firewood for BBQ that day, too!!! Third - thanks
to the Brother Knights that were able to help with the Feast of Christ
the King Concert and Dinner (set-up, cooking, serving and take
down). Many happy folks. The weather was nice, concert was
great and the food was delicious. Fourth -
thanks to the Brother Knights that helped to pass out the prayer cards
for Persecuted Christians after all Masses. You can also support
our brothers and sisters who have suffered for their faith through the
prayer listed below.

Awareness for Persecuted Christians
Beginning
Sunday, Nov. 26, the Knights of Columbus will join the U.S. Conference
of Catholic Bishops and other Catholic organizations in a Week of
Awareness for Persecuted Christians from Nov. 26-Dec. 2.
Prayer for Persecuted Christians
O God of all the nations, the One God who is and was and always will be, in your providence you willed that your Church be united to the suffering of your Son. Look with mercy on your servants who are persecuted for their faith in you. Grant them perseverance and courage to be worthy imitators of Christ. Bring your wisdom upon leaders of nations to work for peace among all peoples. May your Spirit open conversion for those who contradict your will, that we may live in harmony. Give us the grace to be united in truth and freedom, and to always seek your will in our lives.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Our Lady, Queen of Peace, pray for us! |
