Dear Sacred Heart Parishioner,
As you know we have opened Sacred
Heart parish for Masses, Sacraments and prayer. We are
following state and local guidelines as well as guidelines set forth by
Cardinal DiNardo to ensure the safety of all our parishioners.
To maintain these guidelines we need volunteers to assist
in sanitizing the church, chapel and family life center after each
Mass. This will include wiping down pews, door knobs and
rails, etc. Also, will include spraying bathroom areas with
disinfectant. Gloves and chemicals will be provided.
Please consider volunteering. If you are willing
to assist, please contact Kathy Carter at the church
office. If you have a time preference please let Kathy know
when you call. Someone will contact you with additional
timing and instruction.
Please continue to pray for everyone during this crisis and
especially for the most vulnerable. Pray also for the soles
and families of those who have lost their lives to this pandemic.
Thank you for your help and God Bless you.

Sacred Heart Resolutions for the re-opening for sacraments:
- There will be five (5) masses this weekend, following the regular schedule
- Saturday at 5pm
- Sunday at 7:30am, 9:30am, 11:30am and 5pm
- Five (5) volunteers will be needed at each mass to help with:
- Counting
the number of people entering each mass to ensure that the number is at
or below the allowed occupancy rate (121 max in the main church, 180
max in the FLC)
- Maintaining safe separation in the pews
- Coordinating communion
- Sanitizing between masses
- If
there is are more people than can safely be in the main church,
especially for the 9:30am Mass, then a second mass will be offered in
the family life center. In this case, we will need additional volunteers
to help coordinate the FLC portion (one or two more persons).
- Cleaning will prioritize the marked positions where people have sat during mass, using wet rags dipped in sanitizer solution.
- No one will be allowed in for following masses until after cleaning of prior mass has been completed/
- The presiding priest at each mass will inform the congregation of the rules of safe distancing and sanitary conduct.
