SK's and Brothers - With
Memorial Day approaching I wanted to put out an opportunity of
service. As many of you know, SK Rickey Constantine, Past Grand Knight
of 7445, went to be with our Lord on January 25, 2020 leaving behind
wife, Charlotte, 2 Daughters, Annie and Beth as well as sons Gene and
Tony. Gene and his wife Haley had their first child, Hudson, on
March 3rd, a little over a month after Rickey's passing.
As
you all know, the Knights of Columbus was founded on March 29th,
1882 by Fr. Michael J. McGivney to protect the widows and children of
those who lost their lives in the coal mines in New Haven,
Connecticut. Protecting those in need through charity has been a
primary objective of the Knights for over a hundred and forty
years. Within the last few years, Rickey's home has become in need
of some repairs, and since then the Homeowners Association has
requested these repairs be made at this time. Some of the repairs
have been addressed by the family; however, this Saturday, May
23rd at 8:00 am me and a few other Knights plan
to pressure wash, turn flower beds and address rotten siding,
gutters and paint.
Rickey served in
the US Navy so I cannot think of a better way to honor him then by
coming together Memorial Day weekend to help the Constantine family
spruce up their home. I know it is short notice but if you
can help out for an hour or the day please contact me,
